Susan Boyle you're an extremely courageous woman. At 47, you stand before an audience who is readily laughing at you and your dreams. And yet they all stop laughing the moment you sing your song. All they hear is an angelic voice coming out of the mouth of the most unangel-like, plain Jane, fat middle aged woman with bushy eyebrows.
For those of you who haven't seen this video clip, you'd better view it now. And then we have to ask ourselves: why do we have tears in our eyes every time we view this clip?
We have a lot of growing up to do and we owe an apology to all the Susan Boyles in the world! We shouldn't have judged a book by its cover! We are deeply sorry.

Angie!! You're back posting!! I've missed you. :) This is such a lovely story, isn't it? What a brave woman she is--being laughed at her entire life and still she has the strength to get up there, be laughed at once more, and do what she loves most....sing. I cried because of her bravery and what she has endured her entire life. Who amongst us hasn't felt like Susan Boyle in our lives? I know I have, and I tell you, I never had the courage to continue on like she did. What a gal!!
I was told that Simon Cowell is trying to secure her some record deals as well after watching her at the audition.

a valuable lesson should be learned by all in judging someone based on appearance.

Don't know about judging a book by it's cover etc, as I never watch that show; or much TV. But, gotta say I'm already tired of seeing her picture and reading the blogging you're wonderful comments. I've not heard her either. Me and u-tube don't get along, or rather it doesn't with my computer. Need a new computer.
Not picking on her, just floored at the huge amount of blogging press she's getting.
Guess my computer break is over now, best get back outside and finish mowing.

I think that if it's something she wouldn't have done before she became so famous, then it would be compromising herself since she is still the very same person on the inside (and out) as she was before she appeared on the show.
